A FEW STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Before your
first hatch.
How recording imports, clip exports and workspace subscriptions work — and where the current limits are.
Can I generate clips today?
Connected creators can import their own accessible Twitch recordings, generate transcripts and highlights, and export edited clips when processing is enabled for their workspace. YouTube publishing is not available yet.
Will I need to download and upload my recording?
Start with a Twitch VOD URL or a recent broadcast from your connected account. ClipHatch handles downloading and preparing accessible recordings; you do not need to upload a local copy.
Why can a Twitch recording be unavailable?
A recording must belong to your connected broadcaster account and remain accessible. Deleted, expired or restricted recordings may fail to import. ClipHatch cannot bypass Twitch access restrictions. Twitch metadata access does not guarantee access to the recording itself.
Can I connect someone else’s recording?
The initial supported permission model is the connected broadcaster’s own recordings. Delegated access will need a separate verified permission model.
Are subscriptions available?
Premium is £10/month and Studio is £16.99/month, per workspace. Checkout is available from workspace billing when enabled. Eligible Premium workspaces can start a seven-day trial with a payment method; it becomes £10/month unless cancelled before the trial ends. Premium and Studio include unlimited processing hours while active, including trials. Free includes six hours per calendar month and one seat; Premium has three seats and Studio ten. Recordings can be up to six hours, with one processing job at a time per workspace.
Will ClipHatch publish to YouTube?
YouTube linking and publishing are planned. Uploading through an API requires creator authorisation and may require Google verification or an audit before public publishing is available.
